Abstract: This paper mainly studies on the dynamic features of English euphemisms.It firstly analyzes the characteristics of English euphemisms during 18th, 19th and 20th centuries respectively and shows that during different eras, euphemisms demonstrate different characteristics. Then the paper uses some specific examples of euphemisms to illustrate that euphemisms of the same field vary in different times. From the discussion it can be concluded that euphemisms develop with time. Euphemisms are not static but dynamic.

摘要: 本文主要研究英语委婉语的动态特征。文章首先分别分析了英语委婉语在18，19和20世纪里不同的特征，揭示了在不同时代，委婉语有着不同的特征。接着文章使用了一些具体的委婉语例子揭示了同一领域的委婉语在不同时代的变化。从这些探讨中可以很容易地看出委婉语是随着时代的发展在而发展。委婉语是动态而非静止不变的。
