Abstract: Culture-loaded meaning is the semantics of an expression of national character, which objectively reflects the history, culture and local customs of the countries that use the language. Color is very close to our life, so it is important for people to understand the world through the culture loaded meaning of color words. This thesis firstly introduces the seven basic color words (red, yellow, black, white, green, blue, purple), then discusses the similarities and differences of color words between Chinese and English from the cultural aspects of history, culture, customs, religions, traditions so as to overcome culture barriers and promote cross-cultural communication.

摘要：国俗语义是反映语言民族特征的语义学，它客观地反映了这个国家的历史、文化和习俗。颜色接近于人们的生活，通过颜色词的国俗语义来认识这个世界对人们来说很重要。本文首先介绍了红，黄，黑，白，绿，蓝，紫等七个基本颜色词，然后从不同的历史，文化，习俗，宗教，传统等方面对中英颜色词的异同点进行讨论以期对克服文化冲突及推进中西文化交流有一定的实际意义。
