Abstract: Women in Love is one of the masterpieces of D.H. Lawrence’s. This paper focuses on the analysis of the three main female characters of Ursula, Hermione, and Gudrun. With their work, life and love affairs detailed analyzed, their characters and their attitudes towards love and life are exposed, their virtues and abilities beyond the confine of tradition are found, and the reasons for their failure in achieving love and independence are discussed in the paper, so that differences of their female consciousness are found in the exposition. Through the discussion and comparison on these three female images, it can be found that the real modern new women are those who are brave to change the male chauvinism, to stick to the principle of independence and to maintain harmonious social relationship at the same time.

摘要：《恋爱中的女人》是D.H.劳伦斯的代表作之一。本论文主要分析了厄秀拉、郝曼妮和歌珍三位主要女性角色。通过分析她们的工作、生活和情感纠葛，挖掘出她们各自的性格和对待爱情和生活的态度，发现她们超越于传统的新力量，也解读她们爱情和独立自我不可兼得的原因，从而认识她们各自的女性意识中的不同点。最终，通过对三位女性的女性意识的对比分析，发现真正的新女性是那些敢于向男权挑战，能够始终坚持独立自主的原则，且能拥有良好的人际关系的女性。
