Abstract:As a particular language form and cultural phenomenon, euphemism has been regarded as the lubricant of language communication and the bridge of harmonious interpersonal relationship. Nowadays, with the development of human civilization, euphemism is playing a vital role in the continuous amplification of interpersonal communication. Especially in international trade, the use of euphemism helps people buffer the psychological resistance to build up good relationships and thereby makes both sides of negotiation achieve the bilateral goals. This thesis focuses on the reasons of using euphemism in international trade, the barriers of using euphemism and the strategies of solving these problems.

中文摘要:委婉语作为一种特殊的语言形式和文化现象，一直被人们视为语言交流的润滑剂和构建和谐人际关系的桥梁。在人类文明日益发展和人际交往不断扩大的今天，委婉语发挥着重要的作用。在国际贸易中，委婉语更是发挥着不可或缺的作用，委婉语的使用帮助人们缓冲心理对抗，形成积极交流关系，从而达到国际贸易中谈判双方的最终目的。本文介绍了在国际贸易中使用委婉语的原因，使用时所遇到的一些障碍，以及解决这些问题的策略。
