Abstract:Based on Functional Equivalence Theory, This paper proposes that the E-C translation of news must achieve 2 goals. First, from the perspective of the theory, the reality of the content of the news, the determination of target audience, and the handling of barrier caused by language and cultural must be required. Second, in the specific application of Functional Equivalence, stylistic features and sentence structure must be paid attention to, and appropriate ways should be adopted to deal with the translation, including the rhetoric in the news title. Only after these demands are taken into consideration, the E-C translation of news titles can achieve the best effects.
