Abstract: Learning a foreign language role helps to absorb the world's advanced science and culture, and let the world understand China, but also bridge China with the world. Witnessing rapid changing situation in the world , the United States recently proposed "critical language strategy" , the new language planning will have a huge impact on the United States to compete in the future world of globalization. In view of this, China's foreign language planning is also faced with new opportunities and challenges. The author recalls the history of foreign language education, focusing on the latest NMET reform as a key research object, to put forward some practical suggestions. So that the country's foreign language education planning can be innovated and advanced with the times.
