Abstract

Under the tendency of economic globalization, English business letters are playing more and more vital roles in our country’s economic life. As an important communicative means, euphemistic expressions are used frequently in English business letters. Therefore, it brings practical significance to study the translation of euphemistic expressions. 

    This thesis mainly discusses the translation of euphemistic expressions in English business letters. On the basis of analyzing functions and writing principles of English business letters, the thesis also puts forward specific translation criteria and methods through abundant examples, so to help people get more knowledge about the translation of euphemistic expression in English business letters and make full use of the knowledge in business trades between countries.
