Abstract：Under cultural globalization background, if you want to communicate with other countries fluently, firstly, you should understand other counters’ culture very clearly. It is generally believed that family is an essential part of the society. The first step to know other countries’ culture should realize their family culture. Family value is an important part of culture. It takes a great of influence to every family. Therefore, this paper takes family value as an example, which can illustrate the great differences between China and western countries.

　　　The Methodology of this paper is Comparative study. The results of previous are as the basis theory. This paper firstly talks about the definition, background and importance of family value. Then, it compares the family values between Chinese and westerners with respect to love, marriage, and family education to know the differences. And then, it explores the essential factors forming family values, of which the most important ones include history, geography, and belief. In addition, the different family values between China and west have different influences on social structure, personal development, and academic development. It is hoped that this paper can help readers get a deeper understanding of Chinese people’s family values and westerners’ family values.

摘要：在文化全球化大背景下，想要顺利地进行跨国文化交流，就必须了解他国文化。众所周知，家庭是社会的核心部分。想要了解一个国家的文化首先就得从其家庭入手研究。家庭观作为文化的一部分，对家庭的影响是居首位的。因此，本文以家庭观为例，探究中西文化的差异。

　　　本文采用对比研究方法，以前人的研究成果作为理论基础。首先，介绍了家庭观的背景和相关定义和家庭观的意义。其次，从家庭观三个方面爱情，婚姻，家庭教育进行对比研究得出差异，再次，从差异探究引起差异的其本质根源包括历史，地理，信仰。最后再从差异中探究出差异对社会结构，个人发展，学术发展带来的影响。希望本文的研究可以帮助读者对中国人的家庭观和西方人的家庭观有个深层次的理解。
