Abstract:Since the feminism rose in the Enlightenment of 18th century, it has developed fast and widely in the world and changed our world. Women’s social status has a better improvement. Thus,   the relative researches and studies are also blooming -- Many researchers focus their researches on feminism. However, there is still much ignorance about the range or field of research. Few researcher pay active attention from the trappings, especially the women’s costumes to discuss their views. The writer of this thesis attempts to understand the influence of feminism to the development of women’s status from the characteristics of British women’s costumes of the 20th century and perceive the spirit of feminism. Here, this thesis focuses on five typical features of British women’s costumes in 20th century, namely: modernistic; functional; masculine; personalized and light; and through the analysis of the five characteristics of British women’s costumes, it explains implicitly the influence of the feminist thought on improving the status of women from a different perspective. Here, it not only mention the family, economic and political status, but also focus on the degree of women’s education or women’s lifestyle

　　　Through this discussion, we can not only perceive how the women’s costumes develops and changes, but also experience the importance of feminism to our society, speedily to women’s advancement. This not only has an inimitable artistic value on the development of the women’s costumes, but also is very helpful to the study of the variations on Chinese women’s social status.

摘要:本文作者尝试从二十世纪英国女装造型发展特点的角度去认识女性主义思想对女性地位提升的影响，感受这些特点所传达的女性主义精神。这里，本文关注了二十世纪英国女装造型五个典型的特征，分别是：现代化；功能化；男性化；个性化；简约化，并且通过对这五个特征的分析，从不同的角度含蓄说明女性主义思想对女性地位的提升的影响。这里，提及到了女性的家庭地位、经济地位、政治地位以及她们的受教育程度和生活方式。

　　　通过本文的论述，我们不仅看到女装造型在发展中的特征，也体会到了女性主义思想对社会，特别是对女性提升地位的影响。这不仅对我们研究今后女装造型发展有独特的艺术价值，而且对研究中国女性社会地位的变化也有一定的帮助。
