摘要：《第九个寡妇》是旅美作家严歌苓创作的一篇长篇小说，小说出版后引起很多争议和反响，并被改编成电视剧展现在观众面前。小说和电视剧相比，电视剧在故事情节、人物形象等方面做了很大改动。本文着重分析小说《第九个寡妇》能改编成影视剧的原因及影视改编的成败得失，并揭示《第九个寡妇》影视改编顺应的主流趋势。
